Thank you for supporting our 2023 fundraising efforts by becoming a business Sponsor!

Stripping for a Cure takes pride in our dual-mission to raise money for patients battling cancer in our Greater Teton area and to support female participation in the sport of fly fishing. Our mission includes spreading awareness, building community involvement and providing much-needed access to local health care for all those affected by cancer in our area.  Since 2018, with the generous support of our incredible community, we have donated over $755,000 to the St. John’s Health Foundation.

The partnership between St. John’s Health Foundation and Stripping for a Cure has an enormous impact on patient access and quality of cancer care.  The Cancer Patient Support Fund helps patients who cannot afford their medication, medical bills, and basic needs such as lodging during treatments, groceries, gas, and rent. More importantly, these dollars alleviate stress, enhance patient sense of wellbeing, and improve patient perceptions of health care.  The Cancer Survivorship Program helps patients, and their loved ones, heal from the challenges that can result from cancer and its treatments. The program offers services to improve their physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial wellbeing. In 2023, SFAC supported 98 cancer patient participants and 26 caregiver participants with 584 massage and acupuncture treatments, 130 counseling sessions, 22 rehab Pilates and yoga classes, 8 wig purchases, and 68 patient support grants.  SFAC serves as the lead donor to both of these Funds, allowing SJHF to extend its outreach to cancer patients both financially and holistically.

This year, Stripping for a Cure’s two-day event will begin on Friday, August 23 where 70 women, donning their finest pink attire, will enjoy a day of fishing and camaraderie on the Snake River.  The following day, Saturday, August 24, 200 people will gather for our annual fundraising event with a goal of raising $200,000.  Guests (men and women) will enjoy an evening of games, raffle, silent/live auction, dinner, cocktails and entertainment to support the St. John’s Health Foundation.  A gift of $200,000 will increase the average amount granted to patients seeking financial assistance through the Cancer Patient Support Fund and enable the Cancer Survivorship Program to maximize patient impact and ensure program sustainability.
We hope to meet our fundraising goal again this year with the generous support from donors like you.  Our universal support of the whole patient, from diagnosis and treatment to side effect management and survivorship programming, is vitally important to maintaining the overall strength of our community. We ask that you thoughtfully consider making a donation to help us expand our impact while also gaining visibility for your business.

Gratefully,

The SFAC Team
